Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as a tight-end in the National Football League. Gonzalez is regarded as among the greatest tight ends to ever play. Alongside being the leader in receiving yards and third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez was one of the NFL tight end with the most receptions.
A former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as an FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez is on FOX NFL KICKOFF for this past season, serves as host of the program. The show is broadcast every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET, before FOX NFL SUNDAY.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract for the Falcons for two years and $14 million on March 15, 2013. This despite being aware that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire after the football season of 2013. Randy Moss retired in 2013 as did Gonzalez at 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his professional career in the position of being the NFL leader for receiving yards.
